अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः
Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
भीष्म उवाच ततस्तृतीये दिवसे संदिदेश व्यवस्थित: । कुरु प्रियं स मे राजन् प्राप्तोडस्मीति महाव्रतः
bhīṣma uvāca tatastṛtīye divase saṃdideśa vyavasthitaḥ | kuru priyaṃ sa me rājan prāpto ’smi iti mahāvrataḥ ||
ភីෂ្មៈ បាននិយាយថា៖ បន្ទាប់មក នៅថ្ងៃទីបី ព្រះបរហ្សុរាមៈ អ្នកកាន់វ្រតដ៏មហិមា បានឈប់នៅកន្លែងមួយយ៉ាងច្បាស់លាស់ ហើយផ្ញើសារមកខ្ញុំថា៖ «ឱ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រ! ខ្ញុំបានមកដល់ទីនេះហើយ។ ចូរធ្វើការដែលជាទីពេញចិត្តរបស់ខ្ញុំ—ចូរបំពេញសំណើររបស់ខ្ញុំ»។ ពេលនោះបង្ហាញភាពតានតឹងតាមធម៌៖ អំណាចអ្នកចាស់ទុំ និងអំណាចអស្ចារ្យរបស់តាបស បង្ខំឲ្យភីષ្មៈប្រឈមការសាកល្បងនៃកាតព្វកិច្ច ការគោរព និងសីលធម៌ក្នុងការឆ្លើយតបចំពោះការទាមទាររបស់គ្រូដ៏គួរភ័យខ្លាច។
