नारद उवाच
As a colophon, the verse primarily teaches textual awareness: it signals the completion of the Gālava episode within the broader Udyoga Parva. By naming the sub-section (Bhagavad-yāna) and the topic (Gālava’s story), it emphasizes that ethical narratives are situated within larger dharmic and political contexts—here, the preparations and negotiations preceding war.
The narrative action pauses: this line is an editorial/recitational closure indicating that the 106th chapter—focused on Gālava’s story—has concluded within the Bhagavad-yāna portion of Udyoga Parva.
