तेषां वृत्ति परिणयेत् कक्रिद् राष्ट्रेषु तच्चर: । जिघांसव: पापकामा: परस्वादायिन: शठा:
teṣāṁ vṛttiṁ pariṇayet kakrid rāṣṭreṣu taccaraḥ | jighāṁsavaḥ pāpakāmāḥ parasvādāyinaḥ śaṭhāḥ ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «សូមឲ្យមានចារបុរសម្នាក់ ដើររវាងនគរទាំងឡាយ ដើម្បីស្វែងដឹងអំពីរបៀបរស់នៅ និងអាកប្បកិរិយារបស់ពួកគេ—អ្នកដែលចង់សម្លាប់ អ្នកដែលប្រាថ្នាអំពើបាប អ្នកដែលរស់ដោយយករបស់អ្នកដទៃ និងអ្នកល្បិចកល»។
