Puruṣaikatva-vyākhyāna: The One Virāṭ Puruṣa and the Many ‘Puruṣas’

अजेन यष्टव्यमिति प्राहुर्देवा द्विजोत्तमान् । स च च्छागो>प्यजो ज्ञेयो नान्य: पशुरिति स्थिति:
ajena yaṣṭavyam iti prāhur devā dvijottamān | sa ca chāgo 'py ajo jñeyo nānyaḥ paśur iti sthitiḥ ||
ភីष្មបាននិយាយថា៖ «ព្រះទេវតាបានប្រកាសទៅកាន់ព្រះព្រាហ្មណ៍ដ៏ឧត្តមថា ‘គួរធ្វើយញ្ញដោយ “អជ” (aja)’។ ហើយបានកំណត់ថា “អជ” នេះត្រូវយល់ថាជា ពពែ; មិនមានសត្វផ្សេងទៀតត្រូវបានបំណងឡើយ»។
