एतदाचरष्ट मे राजन् देवर्षिनारद: पुरा । व्यासश्वैव महायोगी संजल्पेषु पदे पदे
etad ācarat me rājan devarṣi-nāradaḥ purā | vyāsaś caiva mahāyogī sañjalpeṣu pade pade ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ឱ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រ! កាលពីយូរមកហើយ ព្រះឥសីទេវៈ នារទៈ បានប្រាប់ខ្ញុំជាមុនអំពីរឿងរ៉ាវនេះ។ ហើយមហាយោគី វ្យាសៈ ផងដែរ ក្នុងពេលសន្ទនា ទ្រង់តែងនឹករំលឹក និងលើកឡើងអំពីហេតុការណ៍នេះម្តងហើយម្តងទៀត នៅគ្រប់ជំហាន»។
