एतन्मनो<नुकूलं मे भवानहीतति भाषितुम् | सर्वज्ञ: सर्वदर्शी च सर्वत्र च कुतूहली
etan mano'nukūlaṃ me bhavān āhītati bhāṣitum | sarvajñaḥ sarvadarśī ca sarvatra ca kutūhalī |
ភីෂ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «អ្វីដែលអ្នកបាននិយាយ សុទ្ធតែត្រូវចិត្តខ្ញុំ។ ពិតប្រាកដណាស់ អ្នកហើយដែលសមគួរនិយាយបែបនេះ—ជាអ្នកដឹងគ្រប់យ៉ាង មើលឃើញគ្រប់យ៉ាង ហើយតែងតែចង់ស្វែងយល់អំពីរឿងរ៉ាវគ្រប់ទីកន្លែង»។
भीष्म उवाच
The verse underscores ethical deference to genuine wisdom: speech that aligns with dharma and sound understanding is best received from one who is discerning, far-seeing, and sincerely inquisitive.
Bhishma responds approvingly to a prior speaker’s words, affirming that the statement matches his own understanding and praising the speaker’s qualities—omniscience, clear vision, and a constant desire to know.
