राजधर्मः, दण्डनीतिः, कर्तृत्व-विचारः च
Royal Duty, Lawful Discipline, and the Question of Agency
तद् राजन् जीवमानस्त्वं प्रायश्षित्तं करिष्यसि । प्रायश्षित्तमकृत्वा तु प्रेत्य तप्तासि भारत
tad rājan jīvamānas tvaṁ prāyaścittaṁ kariṣyasi | prāyaścittam akṛtvā tu pretya taptāsi bhārata ||
វ្យាសៈ បានមានព្រះវាចាថា៖ «ដូច្នេះ ឱ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រ ប្រសិនបើអ្នកនៅរស់ អ្នកនឹងអនុវត្តប្រាយស្ចិត្តសម្រាប់អំពើទាំងនោះ។ តែបើអ្នកស្លាប់ដោយមិនបានសម្អាតបាបទេ នោះក្រោយស្លាប់ អ្នកនឹងរងទុក្ខក្តៅក្រហាយនៅលោកក្រោយ ឱ ពូជពង្សភារតៈ»។
