Saṃhāra-krama (The Sequence of Cosmic Dissolution) — Yājñavalkya’s Discourse
विपन्ना धारणास्तात नयन्ति न शुभां गतिम् । नेतृहीना यथा नाव: पुरुषानर्णवे नूप
vipannā dhāraṇās tāta nayanti na śubhāṃ gatim | netṛhīnā yathā nāvaḥ puruṣān arṇave nṛpa ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ឱ កូនអើយ! ធារណា (dhāraṇā) ដែលបរាជ័យ ឬមិនទាន់ពេញលេញ មិននាំទៅកាន់គោលដៅដ៏ប្រសើរទេ។ ដូចទូកគ្មានអ្នកបើក មិនអាចនាំមនុស្សឆ្លងសមុទ្របាន ដូច្នោះដែរ បើការអនុវត្តធារណាមិនបានបង្កើតឲ្យត្រឹមត្រូវ វាមិនអាចនាំទៅកាន់ផ្លូវល្អ ឬសេចក្តីសម្រេចខ្ពស់បានឡើយ»។
