Mahābhārata 12.292
स चाप्यग्न्याहितो विप्र: क्रिया यस्य न हीयते । श्रेयो हानाहिताग्नित्वमग्निहोत्रं न निष्क्रियम्
sa cāpy agnyāhito vipraḥ kriyā yasya na hīyate | śreyo hānāhitāgnitvam agnihotraṃ na niṣkriyam ||
ហើយព្រហ្មណ៍នោះផងដែរ ដែលបានបង្កើតភ្លើងបូជាសក្ការៈ ហើយពិធីកិច្ចតាមវិន័យរបស់គាត់មិនធ្លាក់ខាន—ការមិនរក្សាភ្លើងពិធីសាស្ត្រនោះ ប្រសើរជាងអគ្និហោត្រ ដែលធ្វើដោយគ្មានប្រសិទ្ធិភាពពិធី និងគ្មានវិន័យនៃការប្រតិបត្តិ។
