Śoka-śamana: Kṛṣṇa’s Consolation and Nārada’s Exempla to Sṛñjaya
Chapter 29
अकृष्ट पच्या पृथिवी पुटके पुटके मधु । सर्वा द्रोणदुघा गावो वैन्यस्यासन् प्रशासत:
akṛṣṭa-pacyā pṛthivī puṭake puṭake madhu | sarvā droṇa-dughā gāvo vainyasyāsan praśāsataḥ ||
នៅសម័យដែលព្រះបាទព្រឹថុ វៃន្យៈ គ្រប់គ្រងដោយធម៌ ផែនដីបានផ្តល់ផលដំណាំដោយមិនចាំបាច់ភ្ជួរ; ក្នុងកញ្ចុំកញ្ចុំរបស់ដើមឈើទាំងឡាយ មានទឹកឃ្មុំដូចជារសពេញលេញ; ហើយគោទាំងអស់បានឲ្យទឹកដោះពេញមួយ «ដ្រូណ»។
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse teaches that dharmic kingship sustains a harmonious relationship between ruler, society, and nature: when the king governs justly, the earth becomes fertile, resources abound, and wellbeing spreads without exploitation.
Vāyu describes the extraordinary abundance during King Pṛthu Vainya’s reign—crops growing without ploughing, honey/sap present everywhere, and cows yielding immense milk—illustrating the ideal results of righteous शासन (rule).
