Adhyāya 270 — Yudhiṣṭhira’s inquiry on saṃnyāsa; Bhīṣma on calculable time, tamas, and karma
Vṛtra–Uśanā exemplum begins
कामलोभानुबन्धेन पुरा ते यदसूयितम् । मया स्नेहमविज्ञाय तत्र मे क्षन्तुमहसि
kāmalobhānubandhena purā te yad asūyitam | mayā sneham avijñāya tatra me kṣantum arhasi ||
ភីෂ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ កាលពីមុន ដោយជាប់ពាក់ព័ន្ធនឹងកាមៈ និងលោភ ខ្ញុំបាននិយាយពាក្យច្រណែនស្អប់ចំពោះអ្នក។ ខ្ញុំមិនបានដឹងថា ក្នុងនោះមានសេចក្តីស្នេហាឡើយ; សូមអ្នកអត់ទោសឲ្យខ្ញុំចំពោះកំហុសនោះ។
