परिव्राजक-आचारः (Conduct of the Wandering Renunciant) — Mahābhārata, Śānti-parva 269
तं॑ सन््तो विधिवत प्राप्य गच्छन्ति परमां गतिम् | गृहेभ्य एव निष्क्रम्य वनमन्ये समाश्रिता:
taṁ santaḥ vidhivat prāpya gacchanti paramāṁ gatim | gṛhebhya eva niṣkramya vanam anye samāśritāḥ ||
កបិលៈបាននិយាយថា៖ «បន្ទាប់ពីបានឈានចូលទៅក្នុងផ្លូវនោះដោយត្រឹមត្រូវ អ្នកប្រាជ្ញទាំងឡាយឈានដល់គោលដៅខ្ពស់បំផុត។ មួយចំនួនចាកចេញពីជីវិតគ្រួសារ ហើយទៅកាន់ព្រៃ; មួយចំនួនទៀតទទួលយកជីវិតវានប្រស្ថ (forest-dweller)។ ដោយចូលទៅក្នុងដំណាក់កាលនៃជីវិតទាំងឡាយតាមរបៀបត្រឹមត្រូវ និងគោរពធម៌កិច្ចរបស់ខ្លួនៗដោយស្មោះត្រង់ ពួកគេបានឈានដល់ស្ថានភាពអធិរាជ»។
