राजधर्मः—राष्ट्ररक्षणं, दण्डनीतिः, हयग्रीवोपाख्यानम्

नाकालतो भानुरुपैति योगं नाकालतो3स्तंगिरिमभ्युपैति | नाकालतो वर्धते हीयते च चन्द्र: समुद्रो5पि महोर्मिमाली
na kālato bhānur upaiti yogaṃ na kālato ’staṅgirim abhyupaiti | na kālato vardhate hīyate ca candraḥ samudro ’pi mahormimālī ||
វ្យាសៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ ព្រះអាទិត្យមិនភ្ជាប់ជាមួយខ្សែផ្តេកមុនពេលកំណត់ទេ ហើយក៏មិនទៅដល់ភ្នំនៃការលិចមុនពេលកំណត់ដែរ។ ដូចគ្នានេះ ព្រះចន្ទមិនថយ ឬកើនក្រៅកាលទេ ហើយសមុទ្រដែលពាក់មកុដដោយរលកធំៗ ក៏មិនកើនឡើងដោយមិនសមរម្យដែរ។ ដូច្នេះ អំណាចធំៗនៃលោក ក៏ផ្លាស់ទីក្រោមអំណាចនៃកាលវេលា; ហេតុនេះ គួរធ្វើដោយអត់ធ្មត់ និងសមរម្យ មិនបង្ខំលទ្ធផលផ្ទុយនឹងពេលវេលាដែលបានកំណត់ឡើយ។
