Gārhasthya-Śreṣṭhatā and Kṣatriya-Daṇḍadhāraṇa
Householder Primacy and the Royal Duty of Punishment
वेदज्ञानं तथा कृत्स्नं तप: सुचरितं तथा । द्रविणोपार्जनं भूरि पात्रे च प्रतिपादनम्
vedajñānaṃ tathā kṛtsnaṃ tapaḥ sucaritaṃ tathā | draviṇopārjanaṃ bhūri pātre ca pratipādanam ||
វ្យាសៈបានប្រកាសថា៖ «ការងារដ៏សមរម្យរបស់ស្តេច រួមមាន ចំណេះដឹងពេញលេញអំពីវេទទាំងឡាយ តបស្យាដែលបានអនុវត្តយ៉ាងល្អ និងសីលធម៌ត្រឹមត្រូវ; ការខិតខំរកទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិយ៉ាងសកម្ម; និងការផ្តល់ទានដោយចេតនាច្បាស់លាស់ដល់អ្នកសមគួរ។ វាជាវិន័យរបស់រាជា ដែលបើអនុវត្តបានសមរម្យ នឹងគាំទ្រសណ្តាប់ធ្នាប់សង្គម និងបង្កើតបុណ្យកុសលទាំងក្នុងលោកនេះ និងលោកក្រោយ»។
