एतान्‌ मयोक्ताश्नर राजधर्मान्‌ नृणां च गुप्ती मतिमादधत्स्व । अवाप्स्यसे पुण्यफलं सुखेन सर्वो हि लोको नृप धर्ममूल:

etān mayoktān nara-rāja dharmān nṛṇāṁ ca guptīṁ matim ādhatsva | avāpsyase puṇya-phalaṁ sukhena sarvo hi loko nṛpa dharma-mūlaḥ ||

ភីष្មៈ បានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ឱ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រនៃមនុស្សទាំងឡាយ! សូមព្រះអង្គទទួលយកក្នុងចិត្ត និងអនុវត្តរាជធម៌ទាំងនេះដែលខ្ញុំបានបង្រៀន ហើយឧទ្ទិសខ្លួនក្នុងការការពារ និងគ្រប់គ្រងប្រជារាស្ត្រ។ ដោយធ្វើដូច្នេះ ព្រះអង្គនឹងទទួលបានផលបុណ្យ និងសុខមង្គលដោយងាយ; ព្រោះពិភពលោកទាំងមូល ឱ អធិរាជ, មានមូលដ្ឋានលើធម៌»។
