Gratitude, Discernment, and the Escalation of Power (Śvā–Dvipī–Vyāghra–Nāga–Siṃha–Śarabha Itihāsa)
तथा कुरु महाबाहो सर्वज्ञस्त्वं न संशय: । 'भगवन्! यह चीता कुत्तोंका शत्रु है और मुझे मार डालना चाहता है। महामुने! महाबाहो! आप ऐसा करें
tathā kuru mahābāho sarvajñas tvaṃ na saṃśayaḥ |
ភីෂ្មៈបាននិយាយថា៖ «ដូច្នេះ ចូរធ្វើតាមនោះទៅ ឱ មហាបាហូ (អ្នកមានដៃខ្លាំង)។ អ្នកជាសព្វជ្ញ—មិនមានសង្ស័យឡើយ»។ ក្នុងបរិបទនេះ គឺជាការអង្វរឲ្យការពារដោយមេត្តា៖ អ្នកនិយាយសុំឲ្យឥសីប្រើការយល់ដឹងដ៏សព្វជ្ញ ដើម្បីរកវិធីបំបាត់ភាពភ័យខ្លាចពីសត្វព្រៃដែលគំរាមកំហែង ហើយដាក់សំណើនេះជាការសាកល្បងនៃមេត្តាករុណា និងការធ្វើត្រឹមត្រូវចំពោះអ្នកទន់ខ្សោយ។
