Vetasa-Nīti: The Reed and the Flood (वेतस-नीति)
वेतसो वेगमायातं दृष्टवा नमति नापरे | सरिद्वेगेडव्यतिक्रान्ते स्थानमासाद्य तिष्ठति
vetaso vegam āyātaṃ dṛṣṭvā namati nāpare | sarid-vege ’py atikrānte sthānam āsādya tiṣṭhati ||
សាគរៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ដើមបេន់ឃើញលំហូរទឹកកំពុងរុញមក ក៏កោងចុះ; តែដើមឈើផ្សេងៗមិនធ្វើដូច្នោះទេ។ ដូច្នេះ ពេលកម្លាំងទឹកហូរឆ្លងផុតទៅ វាក៏ត្រឡប់ទៅទីកន្លែងរបស់ខ្លួន ហើយឈររឹងមាំវិញ»។
