शकुनि (हिरण्मय-पक्षी) उपदेशः — Vighasāśin and the Difficulty of Gārhasthya
पुण्यं भवति कर्मेदं प्रशस्तं चैव जीवितम् । सिद्धार्थस्ति गतिं मुख्यां प्राप्ता धर्मपरायणा:
puṇyaṃ bhavati karmedaṃ praśastaṃ caiva jīvitam | siddhārthāste gatiṃ mukhyāṃ prāptā dharmaparāyaṇāḥ ||
«កិច្ចការនេះក្លាយជាបុណ្យកុសល ហើយរបៀបរស់នៅរបស់ពួកគេក៏គួរឲ្យសរសើរពិតប្រាកដ។ អ្នកដែលឧទ្ទិសខ្លួនចំពោះធម៌ បានបំពេញគោលបំណងរបស់ខ្លួន ហើយឈានដល់គោលដៅខ្ពស់បំផុត»។
अजुन उवाच
The verse affirms that righteous action (karma) is intrinsically meritorious (puṇya) and that a life shaped by dharma is praiseworthy; such dharma-devoted persons achieve their true aim and attain the highest spiritual destiny (mukhyā gati).
Arjuna speaks in praise of a particular deed and the dharma-centered life of those who performed it, declaring them successful in purpose and recipients of the highest attainment.
