न निवारयितु शक््या: संग्रामात्ते परंतपा:,“इसलिये अब उन शत्रुसंतापी वीरोंको युद्धसे रोका नहीं जा सकता। जबसे द्रौपदीको क्लेश दिया गया, तबसे वह दुःखी हो मेरे विनाशका संकल्प लेकर प्रतिदिन मिट्टीकी वेदीपर सोया करती है। जबतक वैरका पूरा बदला न चुका लिया जाय, तबतकके लिये उसने यह व्रत ले रखा है
na nivārayitu śakyāḥ saṅgrāmāt te paraṃtapāḥ |
សញ្ជ័យបាននិយាយថា៖ «ឱ អ្នកដុតបំផ្លាញសត្រូវ! ឥឡូវនេះ វីរបុរសទាំងនោះមិនអាចទប់ស្កាត់ឲ្យឈប់សង្គ្រាមបានទៀតឡើយ។ តាំងពីដ្រೌបទីត្រូវបានបង្អាប់ និងធ្វើទុក្ខ នាងរស់នៅក្នុងទុក្ខសោក ដោយមានសេចក្តីសម្រេចចិត្តមាំមួនចំពោះការបំផ្លាញយើង ហើយរាល់ថ្ងៃនាងដេកលើវេទិកាដី។ នាងបានទទួលវ្រតនេះ ដើម្បីបន្តរហូតដល់ពេលសងពៀរឲ្យគ្រប់គ្រាន់។»
