शब्दश्न तुमुल: संख्ये शराणां पततामभूत् । महावेणुवनस्येव दह्यमानस्य पर्वते,जैसे पर्वतपर जलते हुए विशाल बाँसोंके वनसे प्रकट होनेवाला चटचट शब्द सुनायी देता है, उसी प्रकार युद्धस्थलमें बाणोंके गिरनेका भयंकर शब्द वहाँ गूँज रहा था
śabdaś ca tumulaḥ saṅkhye śarāṇāṁ patatām abhūt | mahāveṇuvanasyeva dahyamānasya parvate ||
សញ្ជ័យបាននិយាយថា៖ «នៅក្នុងសង្គ្រាមនោះ សំឡេងរំខានដ៏ធំធេងបានកើតឡើងពីព្រួញដែលធ្លាក់ចុះជាបន្តបន្ទាប់—ដូចសំឡេងច្រេះច្រាំង និងរំពងដែលផ្ទុះឡើង ពេលព្រៃឫស្សីធំលើភ្នំកំពុងឆេះ។»
