अध्याय ९ — दुर्योधनस्य अन्त्यावस्था, विलापः, तथा सौप्तिक-प्रतिवृत्तम्
Duryodhana’s Final Condition, Lamentation, and the Night’s Report
यद् वै त्वां नानुगच्छामस्तेन धक्ष्यामहे वयम् | तत् स्वर्गहीना हीनार्था: स्मरन्त: सुकृतस्य ते,“राजन्! परम गतिको जाते समय आपके पीछे-पीछे जो हम तीनों भी नहीं चल रहे हैं, इसके कारण हम स्वर्ग और अर्थ दोनोंसे वंचित हो आपके सुकृतोंका स्मरण करते हुए दिन- रात शोकाग्निमें जलते रहेंगे
yad vai tvāṃ nānugacchāmas tena dhakṣyāmahe vayam | tat svargahīnā hīnārthāḥ smarantaḥ sukṛtasya te ||
សញ្ជ័យបាននិយាយថា៖ «បើពិតជាយើងមិនបានដើរតាមព្រះអង្គទេ នោះយើងនឹងត្រូវវិនាសដោយកំហុសនោះឯង។ បាត់បង់សួគ៌ និងខ្វះខាតគ្រប់ផលប្រយោជន៍ដ៏គួរគាប់ យើងនឹងរំលឹកសុគតិការរបស់ព្រះអង្គ ឱ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រ ហើយទាំងថ្ងៃទាំងយប់ នឹងដុតខ្លួនក្នុងភ្លើងទុក្ខសោក។»
