नारद उवाच
The verse highlights the abundance of kāma (enjoyments) and provisions as marks of worldly prosperity, while implicitly reminding the listener that such pleasures—however divine or human—are contingent and can become sources of attachment if not governed by dharma and restraint.
Nārada is describing a splendid setting where every luxury is readily available: all kinds of pleasures, and plentiful, delicious foods. The address “ariṃdama/śatrudamana” indicates he is speaking to a heroic figure, praising the grandeur and readiness of comforts in that place.
