प्रवृत्तं धार्तराष्ट्रस्य चक्र राज्ञो महात्मन: । पराजिता: पाण्डवेया विपत्तिं परमां गता:
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: pravṛttaṃ dhārtarāṣṭrasya cakraṃ rājño mahātmanaḥ | parājitāḥ pāṇḍaveyā vipattiṃ paramāṃ gatāḥ ||
វៃសម្បាយនៈបាននិយាយថា៖ ដូច្នេះ កង់នៃអធិបតេយ្យភាពបានចាប់ផ្តើមរមៀលសម្រាប់ព្រះរាជបុត្ររបស់ធೃತរाष्ट्र—ព្រះមហាក្សត្រដ៏មានចិត្តធំ។ ហើយបណ្ឌវៈទាំងឡាយ បរាជ័យហើយ បានធ្លាក់ចូលទៅក្នុងវិបត្តិដ៏ធ្ងន់ធ្ងរបំផុត។
