द्यूतेडद्धितीय: शकुनिनरिषु कुन्तीसुतस्तेन निसृष्टकाम: । न मन्यते तां निकृतिं युधिष्ठिर- स्तस्मान्न ते प्रश्नमिमं ब्रवीमि
dyūte ’dvitīyaḥ śakunir nṛṣu kuntīsutas tena nisṛṣṭakāmaḥ | na manyate tāṁ nikṛtiṁ yudhiṣṭhiras tasmān na te praśnam imaṁ bravīmi ||
ភីស្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ក្នុងចំណោមមនុស្សទាំងឡាយ សកុនិគ្មានអ្នកណាប្រៀបបានក្នុងសិល្បៈល្បែងភ្នាល់។ គាត់ហើយដែលបានញុះញង់កូនប្រុសនៃកុន្តី គឺយុធិષ્ઠិរ ឲ្យចលាចលចិត្ត និងបញ្ចេញបំណង—រហូតដល់ដំណាក់កាលដាក់នាងជាភ្នាល់។ ប៉ុន្តែយុធិષ્ઠិរ មិនចាត់ទុកវាជាការល្បិចកលរបស់សកុនិទេ។ ដូច្នេះ ខ្ញុំមិនអាចពន្យល់សំណួរដែលនាងសួរបានយ៉ាងត្រឹមត្រូវឡើយ»។
