को हि मां भीमसेनाद्य क्षितावहति पार्थिव: | क्षेप्तुं कालपरीतात्मा यथैष कुलपांसन:
ko hi māṁ bhīmasenādya kṣitāvahati pārthivaḥ | kṣeptuṁ kālaparītātmā yathaiṣa kulapāṁsanaḥ ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ឱ ភីមសេន! ក្នុងចំណោមស្តេចទាំងឡាយលើផែនដីនេះ ថ្ងៃនេះនរណាអាចហ៊ានបោះពាក្យប្រមាថមកលើខ្ញុំបាន? មានតែអ្នកដែលចិត្តត្រូវបាន ‘កាល’ (វាសនា) គ្រប់គ្រងប៉ុណ្ណោះ ទើបអាចបោះអាស្រូវបែបនេះ—ដូចជាសិសុបាលា អ្នកអាម៉ាស់ដល់វង្សត្រកូលរបស់ខ្លួន កំពុងធ្វើ»។
