Bhīṣma–Śiśupāla-saṃvādaḥ
Bhishma and Shishupala’s exchange in the assembly
वृद्ध: किल समुद्रान्ते कश्चिद्धंसो5भवत् पुरा । धर्मवागन्यथावृत्त: पक्षिण: सोडनुशास्ति च
vṛddhaḥ kila samudrānte kaścid haṃso 'bhavat purā | dharmavāg anyathāvṛttaḥ pakṣiṇaḥ so 'nuśāsti ca ||
សិសុបាលបាននិយាយថា៖ «កាលពីបុរាណ នៅលើឆ្នេរសមុទ្រ មានហង្សចាស់មួយរស់នៅ។ វានិយាយពាក្យខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់អំពីធម៌ ប៉ុន្តែអាកប្បកិរិយារបស់វាវិញផ្ទុយទៅនឹងពាក្យនោះ។ ទោះយ៉ាងណា វានៅតែអប់រំបក្សីដទៃៗជានិច្ចថា ‘ចូរធ្វើធម៌ ចូរចៀសវាងអធម៌’។ ដូច្នេះ បក្សីទាំងឡាយបានស្តាប់សេចក្តីអប់រំធម៌ជាបន្តបន្ទាប់ពីមាត់ហង្សដែលអះអាងថានិយាយសច្ចៈជានិច្ចនោះ»។
