वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights purposeful, disciplined use of strength in service of establishing legitimate rule (rājadharma): authority is expanded efficiently and decisively, not for vanity but to consolidate a wider political order.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Bhīma goes to the vicinity of the Himālaya and, in a short time, subdues the entire territory known as Jaloddhava, bringing it under his control.
