सिंहनादरवाश्वासन् शड्खशब्दविमिश्रिता: । दृष्टवा दुर्योधन तत्र कृष्णयो: प्रमुखे स्थितम्,दुर्योधनको वहाँ श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुनके सामने खड़ा देख शंखोंकी ध्वनिसे मिले हुए सिंहनादके शब्द सब ओर गूँजने लगे
siṁhanāda-ravāśvāsan śaṅkha-śabda-vimiśritāḥ | dṛṣṭvā duryodhanaṁ tatra kṛṣṇayoḥ pramukhe sthitam ||
សញ្ជ័យបាននិយាយ៖ ពេលពួកគេឃើញទុរយោធនឈរនៅទីនោះ នៅជួរមុខបំផុត ប្រឈមមុខនឹងក្រឹષ્ણ និងអរជុន សមរភូមិបានលាន់សូរទៅគ្រប់ទិសដោយសម្លេងហ៊ោដូចសត្វសិង្ហ លាយជាមួយសូរស័ព្ទស័ង្ខ—ជាការផ្ទុះឡើងនៃទំនុកចិត្ត និងការប្រកួតប្រជែង ខណៈការប្រឈមមុខកាន់តែរឹតត្បិតជុំវិញមេដឹកនាំទាំងឡាយ។
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how external displays—roars, conches, and rallying cries—can amplify courage and intimidation in war, yet they remain signals of shifting human morale rather than proof of righteousness; dharma is not established by noise or bravado but by conduct and intent.
Sañjaya reports that Duryodhana is seen standing at the forefront directly before Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna, and in response the field echoes with lion-like shouts mixed with conch-blasts—an audible surge of challenge and encouragement as the opposing leaders face each other.
