उत्पातवर्णनम् (Utpāta-varṇanam) — Catalogue of Portents
प्रतिमाश्चवालिखन्त्येता: सशस्त्रा: कालचोदिता: । अन्योन्यमभिधावन्ति शिशवो दण्डपाणय:
pratimāś ca vālikhanty etāḥ saśastrāḥ kālacoditāḥ | anyonyam abhidhāvanti śiśavo daṇḍapāṇayaḥ ||
វ្យាសៈពណ៌នានិមិត្តអមង្គលដែលកាលៈ (ពេលវេលា) ជំរុញ៖ មានរូបសត្វសព្វាវុធត្រូវបានគេគូរ និងច្នៃធ្វើជារូបភាព ដូចជាកងទ័ពកំពុងត្រៀមសង្គ្រាម; ហើយសូម្បីកុមារតូចៗកាន់ដំបង ក៏រត់ប្រយុទ្ធគ្នាទៅវិញទៅមក។ ទិដ្ឋភាពនេះបង្ហាញថា សង្គមបានរអិលចូលទៅក្នុងអំពើហិង្សា—ភាពសុទ្ធសាធរបស់កុមារក៏ប្រែទៅជាសង្គ្រាម—ជាសញ្ញាប្រាប់មុននៃការកើនឡើងមិនអាចជៀសបាន។
