उत्पातवर्णनम् (Utpāta-varṇanam) — Catalogue of Portents
नैव स्थापयितुं शक््या शूरैरपि महाचमू: । सत्कृत्य महतीं सेनां चतुरड्रां महीपति: । उपायपूर्व मेधावी यतेत सततोत्थित:
naiva sthāpayituṃ śakyā śūrair api mahācamūḥ | satkṛtya mahatīṃ senāṃ catur-aṅgāṃ mahīpatiḥ | upāya-pūrvaṃ medhāvī yateta satatotthitaḥ ||
វ្យាសៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ នៅពេលនោះ សូម្បីមានវីរបុរសជាច្រើន ក៏មិនអាចទប់កងទ័ពដ៏ធំឲ្យឈរមាំបានឡើយ។ ដូច្នេះ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រដែលមានប្រាជ្ញា គួរតែប្រុងប្រយ័ត្នជានិច្ច ត្រៀមខ្លួនរហ័ស ហើយប្រើវិធីការណ៍ដោយគិតគូរយ៉ាងល្អ ដើម្បីថែរក្សាកងទ័ពចតុរង្គិណីដ៏ធំរបស់ព្រះអង្គ ឲ្យមាំមួន មានសណ្តាប់ធ្នាប់ ដោយការគោរព និងការយកចិត្តទុកដាក់។
