उत्पातवर्णनम् (Utpāta-varṇanam) — Catalogue of Portents
विषमं जनयन्त्येत आक्रन्दजननं महत् । त्रिषु सर्वेषु नक्षत्रनक्षत्रेषु विशाम्पते । गृथ्र: सम्पतते शीर्ष जनयन् भयमुन्तमम्
viṣamaṃ janayanty ete ākrandajananaṃ mahat | triṣu sarveṣu nakṣatra-nakṣatreṣu viśāmpate | gṛdhraḥ sampatate śīrṣaṃ janayan bhayam uttamam ||
អព្យាក្រឹតសញ្ញាទាំងនេះបង្កើតភាពមិនសមតុល្យដ៏គ្រោះថ្នាក់ បណ្តាលឲ្យមានសម្លេងយំរំជួលយ៉ាងធំ។ ឱ ព្រះអម្ចាស់នៃប្រជាជន ក្នុងបីផ្នែកទាំងអស់នៃអ្វីដែលហៅថា «ក្រុមនក្សត្រ» មានសត្វក្រពើ (vulture) មួយហោះចុះមកលើចំណុចកំពូល បង្កើតភ័យខ្លាចអតិបរមា។ ឥឡូវនេះបានកើតមានសមាសភាពអាក្រក់ដូច្នេះ—ជាសញ្ញានៃវិនាស និងការសម្លាប់ក្នុងសង្គ្រាម ដែលធម៌ត្រូវបានគ្របដណ្ដប់ដោយភាពវឹកវរ និងហិង្សា។
