Rajo-guṇa-nirdeśa — Brahmā’s Enumeration of Rajasic Dispositions
अस्मिल्लोके प्रमोदन््ते जायमाना: पुनः पुन: । प्रेत्य भाविकमीहन्ते ऐहलौकिकमेव च । ददति प्रतिगृह्नन्ति तर्पयन्त्यथ जुह्गमति
asmi loke pramodante j1yam1n1 puna puna | pretya bh1vikam 2bhante aihalaukikam eva ca | dadati pratigh nanti tarpayanty atha juhvati ||
ព្រះវាយុទេវបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ក្នុងលោកនេះ មនុស្សដូច្នោះរីករាយម្តងហើយម្តងទៀត ដោយកើតជាថ្មីជាបន្តបន្ទាប់ ហើយលង់លក់ក្នុងសេចក្តីសុខដែលកើតពីវត្ថុអារម្មណ៍។ បន្ទាប់ពីស្លាប់ ពួកគេក៏ខិតខំស្វែងរកអ្វីដែលខ្លួនស្រមៃថានឹងកើតមាន ហើយក៏ដេញតាមតែផលប្រយោជន៍ផ្លូវលោកប៉ុណ្ណោះ។ ដូច្នេះ ដោយមានបំណងប្រាថ្នាជាមូលហេតុ ពួកគេឲ្យទាន ទទួលទាន ហើយធ្វើពិធីតർបណ (tarpana) និងការបូជាយញ្ញ (yajña)»។
