Discourse on Desire, Possessiveness, and Ritual Duty
कामात्मान॑ न प्रशंसन्ति लोके नेहाकामा काचिदस्ति प्रवृत्ति: । सर्वे कामा मनसोज्जप्रभूता यान् पण्डित: संहरते विचिन्त्य
kāmātmānaṁ na praśaṁsanti loke nehākāmā kācid asti pravṛttiḥ | sarve kāmā manaso 'jja-prabhūtā yān paṇḍitaḥ saṁharate vicintya ||
វាយុបាននិយាយថា៖ «មនុស្សលោកមិនសរសើរអ្នកណាដែលចិត្តត្រូវបានចងខ្សែដោយកាមតណ្ហាទេ។ នៅទីនេះ គ្មានសកម្មភាពណាមួយកើតឡើងដោយគ្មានកាមនា ហើយកាមនាទាំងអស់កើតចេញពីចិត្ត។ ដូច្នេះ អ្នកប្រាជ្ញពិចារណាឲ្យជ្រាលជ្រៅ ដឹងថាកាមនាជាមូលហេតុនៃទុក្ខ ហើយទប់ស្កាត់ និងលះបង់វា»។
