Vṛṣādarbhī–Saptarṣi Dialogue
देवास्तु पितरो नाम निर्मिता ये स्वयम्भुवा । उष्णपा ये महाभागास्तेषां भाग: प्रकल्पित:
devāstu pitaro nāma nirmitā ye svayambhuvā | uṣṇapā ye mahābhāgāsteṣāṃ bhāgaḥ prakalpitaḥ ||
ភីෂ្មៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «មានសត្វទេវៈខ្លះ ដែលស្វយម្ភូ (ព្រះព្រហ្ម) បានបង្កើតឡើង ហើយគេហៅថា ‘បិត្រឹ’ (បុព្វបុរស)។ បិត្រឹដ៏មានសិរីល្អទាំងនោះ ក៏ត្រូវហៅថា ឧಷ್ಣបា ផងដែរ។ ស្វយម្ភូបានកំណត់ភាគពិសេសសម្រាប់ពួកគេក្នុងការថ្វាយស្រាទ្ធ—បញ្ជាក់ថា ការគោរពបុព្វបុរស គឺជាកាតព្វកិច្ចដែលធម៌បានអនុម័ត»។
