The Duty to Fulfill Promised Gifts
वानर उवाच सदा चाहं फलाहारो ब्राह्मणानां प्लवड्भम: । तस्मान्न ब्राह्मणस्वं तु हर्तव्यं विदुषा सदा । सम॑ विवादो मोक्तव्यो दातव्यं स प्रतिश्रुतम्
vānara uvāca | sadā cāhaṃ phalāhāro brāhmaṇānāṃ plavaṅgamaḥ | tasmān na brāhmaṇasvaṃ tu hartavyaṃ viduṣā sadā | samaṃ vivādo moktavyo dātavyaṃ sa pratiśrutam ||
ស្វានរ (ស្វា) បាននិយាយថា៖ «ខ្ញុំធ្លាប់រស់ដោយបរិភោគផ្លែឈើដែលខ្ញុំបានលួចពីព្រាហ្មណ៍ជានិច្ច។ ដោយបាបនោះហើយ ខ្ញុំបានក្លាយជាស្វាដូចនេះ។ ដូច្នេះ បុគ្គលមានប្រាជ្ញាមិនគួរលួចទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិរបស់ព្រាហ្មណ៍ឡើយ។ មិនគួរចូលទៅជម្លោះជាមួយព្រាហ្មណ៍ទេ ហើយអ្វីដែលបានសន្យាឲ្យពួកគេ ត្រូវប្រគល់ឲ្យពិតប្រាកដ»។
