गोशकृन्माहात्म्य-प्रश्नः (On the Merit of Cow-Dung and the Abode of Śrī) / Inquiry into the Sanctity of Cow-Dung
महर्षि वशिष्ठका राजा सौदाससे गौओंका माहात्म्य-कथन युवानमिन्द्रियोपेतं शतेन शतयूथपम् । गवेन्द्रं ब्राह्मणेन्द्राय भूरिशंगमलड्कृतम्
yuvānam indriyopetaṁ śatena śatayūthapam | gavendraṁ brāhmaṇendrāya bhūriśaṅgam alaṅkṛtam ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ឱ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រដែលដុតបំផ្លាញសត្រូវ! អ្នកណាដែលតុបតែង ហើយបរិច្ចាគគោឧសភៈដ៏ជាអធិរាជ—វ័យក្មេង សម្បូរគ្រប់អង្គប្រយោជន៍ ជាមេហ្វូងគោមួយរយ មានស្នែងធំៗ—ជាមួយគោមួយរយ ទៅដល់ព្រាហ្មណ៍ស្រោត្រីយៈ (អ្នកចេះវេទ) នោះ នៅពេលណាដែលពួកគេកើតមកក្នុងលោកនេះ ពេលនោះៗពួកគេតែងបានចំណែកនៃអំណាច និងទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិដ៏មហិមា។»

Bhīṣma is instructing the king on the greatness of go-dāna (cow-gifting). He describes the ideal gift (a young, fully sound, decorated herd-leading bull along with a hundred cows) and states the karmic result: recurring worldly prosperity whenever the donor is reborn.
