शुश्रूषते यः पितरं न चासूयेत् कदाचन । मातरं भ्रातरं वापि गुरुमाचार्यमेव च
śuśrūṣate yaḥ pitaraṃ na cāsūyet kadācana | mātaraṃ bhrātaraṃ vāpi gurum ācāryam eva ca ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «បុរសណាដែលបម្រើឪពុក ហើយមិនដែលមានចិត្តច្រណែន ឬស្វែងរកកំហុសចំពោះព្រះអង្គឡើយ—ហើយដូចគ្នានោះ បម្រើម្តាយ បងប្រុសច្បង និងគ្រូ (guru) ព្រមទាំងអាចារ្យ—ឱ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រ! ចូរដឹងផលដែលគាត់ទទួលបាន។ គាត់បានស្ថានដ៏គេគោរពសរសើរនៅសួគ៌; ហើយដោយការបម្រើគ្រូដោយស្មោះស្ម័គ្រ និងការគ្រប់គ្រងចិត្តខ្លួន គាត់មិនដែលឃើញនរកឡើយ»។
