व्रतानां कि फल प्रोक्त कीदृशं वा महाद्युते । नियमानां फलं कि च स्वधीतस्य च कि फलम्,महाद्युते! व्रतोंका क्या और कैसा फल बताया गया है? नियमोंके पालन और स्वाध्यायका भी क्या फल है?
Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca |
Vratānāṃ kiṃ phalaṃ proktaṃ kīdṛśaṃ vā mahādyute |
Niyamānāṃ phalaṃ kiṃ ca svādhītasya ca kiṃ phalam, mahādyute ||
យុធិષ્ઠិរ បានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ឱ ព្រះអង្គដ៏រុងរឿង! ផលដែលបានប្រកាសសម្រាប់ការរក្សាវ្រត (ពិធីសច្ចវត្ដ) មានអ្វីខ្លះ ហើយមានសភាពយ៉ាងដូចម្តេច? ហើយផលនៃការរក្សានិយម (វិន័យ) មានអ្វី? ផលនៃស្វាធ្យាយ (ការសិក្សាខ្លួនឯង/សូត្រព្រះវេដ) មានអ្វីដែរ ឱ ព្រះអង្គដ៏ភ្លឺចែងចាំង!»
