गवां लोकवर्णनं तथा गोप्रदानफलश्रुतिः
Description of the ‘World of Cows’ and the Stated Fruits of Cow-Gift
मातर: सर्वभूतानां गाव: सर्वसुखप्रदा: । वृद्धिमाकाडुक्षता नित्यं गाव: कार्या: प्रदक्षिणा:
mātaraḥ sarvabhūtānāṁ gāvaḥ sarvasukhapradāḥ | vṛddhim ākāṅkṣatā nityaṁ gāvaḥ kāryāḥ pradakṣiṇāḥ ||
ភីស្ម បានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «គោត្រូវបានហៅថា មាតានៃសត្វមានជីវិតទាំងអស់ ព្រោះវាប្រទានសុខសាន្ត និងសេចក្តីសុខដល់គ្រប់គ្នា។ ដូច្នេះ អ្នកណាដែលប្រាថ្នាចម្រើន និងកិត្តិយស គួរតែគោរពគោជានិច្ច ដោយដើរវង់ជុំវិញវា ឲ្យវានៅខាងស្តាំ»។
