शुभे पात्रे ये गुणा गोप्रदाने तावान्‌ दोषो ब्राह्मणस्वापहारे । सर्वावस्थं ब्राह्मणस्वापहारो दाराश्नैषां दूरतो वर्जनीया:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | śubhe pātre ye guṇā gopradāne tāvān doṣo brāhmaṇasvāpahāre | sarvāvasthaṃ brāhmaṇasvāpahāro dārāś ca eṣāṃ dūrato varjanīyāḥ ||

Translation

ភីෂ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «គុណបុណ្យណាដែលកើតពីការបរិច្ចាគគោដល់អ្នកទទួលសមគួរ បាបក៏កើតស្មើគ្នា ពេលយកទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិរបស់ព្រាហ្មណ៍។ ដូច្នេះ មិនថាស្ថានការណ៍ណាក៏ដោយ មិនត្រូវលួច ឬប្លន់ទ្រព្យព្រាហ្មណ៍ឡើយ; ហើយក៏គួរជៀសវាង—even ពីចម្ងាយ—ការសម្ព័ន្ធខុសធម៌ជាមួយភរិយារបស់ព្រាហ្មណ៍ទាំងឡាយ»។
