Nṛga-upākhyāna: Brāhmaṇa-sva and the Consequence of Misappropriated Gift-Cattle (कृकलास-रूपे नृगोपाख्यानम्)
सर्वसत्रैश्न यजते यस्तिलैर्यजते पितृन् | न चाकामेन दातव्यं तिलश्राद्धं कदाचन
bhīṣma uvāca | sarvasatraiś ca yajate yas tilair yajate pitṝn | na cākāmena dātavyaṃ tilaśrāddhaṃ kadācana ||
ភីष្មៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ អ្នកណាដែលបូជាបិត្រទេវតា (Pitṛs) ដោយគ្រាប់ល្ង គឺដូចជាបានអនុវត្តយញ្ញទាំងអស់។ ប៉ុន្តែ ការបូជាល្ងក្នុងពិធីស្រាទ្ធ មិនគួរធ្វើដោយចិត្តមិនអើពើ ឬគ្មានបំណងឡើយ; ត្រូវធ្វើដោយចេតនា ដោយសទ្ធា និងការគោរពយ៉ាងពេញលេញ។
