अन्नदान-प्रशंसा (Praise of the Gift of Food) | Annadāna-Praśaṃsā
ब्रवीमि सत्यमेतच्च यथाहं पाण्डुनन्दन । तेन सत्येन गच्छेयं लोकान् यत्र च शान्तनु:
bravīmi satyam etac ca yathāhaṃ pāṇḍunandana | tena satyena gaccheyaṃ lokān yatra ca śāntanuḥ ||
ភីṣ្មៈ «ឱ កូនប្រុសនៃបណ្ឌុ! ខ្ញុំប្រាប់សេចក្តីពិតនេះ ដូចដែលវាជាក់ស្តែង។ ដោយអานุភាពនៃសច្ចៈនោះ សូមឲ្យខ្ញុំទៅដល់លោកទាំងឡាយ ដែលព្រះបិតារបស់ខ្ញុំ សាន្តនុ បានទៅដល់»។
भीष्म उवाच
Truthfulness (satya) is presented as a potent moral force: speaking truth is not merely ethical conduct but a source of spiritual merit capable of guiding one toward auspicious realms.
Bhīṣma, addressing Yudhiṣṭhira, affirms the truth of what he is saying and expresses a wish that, by the merit of that truth, he may attain the same heavenly realms reached by his father Śāntanu.
