Ānṛśaṃsya–Bhakti: Śukaḥ Śakreṇa Parīkṣitaḥ
Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra
तस्मिन् वक्षे तथाभूते कोटरेषु चिरोषित: । न जहाति शुको वासं तस्य भक्त्या वनस्पते:
tasmin vakṣe tathābhūte koṭareṣu ciroṣitaḥ | na jahāti śuko vāsaṃ tasya bhaktyā vanaspateḥ ||
ភីṣ្មៈបាននិយាយ៖ ពេលដើមឈើនោះទៅដល់សភាពដូច្នោះ ក្នុងរន្ធខាងក្នុងរបស់វា មានសត្វតូតាមួយរស់នៅយូរមកហើយ ក៏មិនបោះបង់ទីលំនៅឡើយ។ ដោយសេចក្តីស្រឡាញ់ និងការចងចិត្តចំពោះដើមឈើនោះ វានៅតែស្ថិតនៅទីនោះ ទោះដើមឈើកំពុងស្ងួតរលួយក៏ដោយ—បង្ហាញភាពស្មោះត្រង់ និងកតញ្ញូដែលមិនបោះបង់អ្នកអាស្រ័យនៅពេលធ្លាក់ចុះ។
