Ānṛśaṃsya–Bhakti: Śukaḥ Śakreṇa Parīkṣitaḥ
Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra
एवमेव मनुष्येन्द्र भक्तिमन्तं समाश्रित: । सर्वार्थसिद्धि लभते शुकं प्राप्य यथा द्रुम:
evam eva manuṣyendra bhaktimantaṁ samāśritaḥ | sarvārthasiddhiṁ labhate śukaṁ prāpya yathā drumaḥ ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ដូច្នេះដែរ ឱ មនុស្សេន្ទ្រ! អ្នកណាដែលទៅពឹងផ្អែកលើបុគ្គលមានភក្តីពិតប្រាកដ នឹងទទួលបានសម្រេចគោលបំណងទាំងអស់—ដូចដើមឈើមួយ ដែលបានស្និទ្ធស្នាលជាមួយសូកៈ (សត្វសេក) ហើយបានសម្រេចបំណងទាំងមូល។ ដូចគ្នានេះ ដោយពឹងលើអ្នកមានភក្តី មនុស្សអាចធ្វើឲ្យក្តីប្រាថ្នារបស់ខ្លួនសម្រេចបាន»។
