Devaśarmā–Vipula Dialogue on Ahorātra–Ṛtu as Moral Witnesses (अनुशासन पर्व, अध्याय ४३)
अन्न ते वर्तयिष्यामि इतिहासं पुरातनम् । यथा रक्षा कृता पूर्व विपुलेन महात्मना
anna te vartayiṣyāmi itihāsaṃ purātanam | yathā rakṣā kṛtā pūrvaṃ vipulena mahātmanā ||
ភីष្ម បានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ឱ អ្នកជាទីស្រឡាញ់! ខ្ញុំនឹងរៀបរាប់ប្រវត្តិនិទានបុរាណមួយឲ្យអ្នកស្តាប់—ថា នៅកាលមុន មហात्मា វិពុល (Vipula) បានការពារនារីម្នាក់ គឺភរិយារបស់គ្រូរបស់គាត់ ដោយរបៀបណា។ ចូរស្តាប់របៀបដែលការការពារនោះត្រូវបានអនុវត្តដោយត្រឹមត្រូវ ដើម្បីជាគំរូនៃធម៌ដែលបានដំណើរការ»។
