Pūjya-namaskārya-prakaraṇa
On Those Worthy of Honor and Salutation
दुरावापमवाप्यैतन्नानुतिष्ठन्ति मानवा: । पहले तो ब्राह्मणत्वका प्राप्त होना ही कठिन है। यदि वह प्राप्त हो जाय तो उसका पालन करना और भी कठिन हो जाता है; किंतु बहुत-से मनुष्य इस दुर्लभ वस्तुको पाकर भी तदनुकूल आचरण नहीं करते हैं
durāvāpam avāpya etan nānutiṣṭhanti mānavāḥ |
ម៉ាតង្គៈ «បានទទួលស្ថានភាពដ៏លំបាកឲ្យបាននេះហើយ មនុស្សជាច្រើនក៏មិនរស់នៅឲ្យសមនឹងវាទេ។ ការក្លាយជាព្រាហ្មណ៍ក៏លំបាក; ហើយពេលបានហើយ ការរក្សាវិន័យ និងអាកប្បកិរិយាដែលសមនឹងវា កាន់តែលំបាកទៀត។ ទោះយ៉ាងណា មនុស្សជាច្រើន ទោះបានស្ថានភាពដ៏កម្រនេះ ក៏មិនអនុវត្តធម៌ និងវិន័យតាមដែលគួរតែមានឡើយ។»
