दूतसंव्यवहाराश्व निष्परीक्षाश्व मानवा: । प्राणिहिंसाप्रवृत्ता श्व ते वै निरयगामिन:
dūtasaṁvyavahārāś ca niṣparīkṣāś ca mānavāḥ | prāṇihiṁsāpravṛttāś ca te vai nirayagāminaḥ ||
ភីෂ្មៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ មនុស្សណាដែលធ្វើការជាទូត ឬអ្នកនាំសារ ដោយគ្មានការវិនិច្ឆ័យ—មិនអាចពិនិត្យមើលមនុស្ស ឬស្ថានការណ៍ឲ្យបានត្រឹមត្រូវ—ហើយតែងតែប្រព្រឹត្តអំពើបំផ្លាញជីវិតសត្វមានជីវិត នោះពិតជាមានគោលដៅទៅនរក។ ខគម្ពីរនេះព្រមានថា តួនាទីសាធារណៈដូចជាការទូត ឬការសម្របសម្រួល ត្រូវការការពិនិត្យធម៌ និងអហിംសា; បើធ្វើដោយប្រញាប់ប្រញាល់ និងសាហាវ នាំទៅកាន់ការធ្លាក់ចុះធម៌យ៉ាងធ្ងន់។
