Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
भीष्म उवाच दैवं पौर्वाह्निकं कुर्यादपराह्ने तु पैतृकम् मड़लाचारसम्पन्न: कृतशौच: प्रयत्नवान्
bhīṣma uvāca: daivaṃ paurvāhṇikaṃ kuryād aparāhṇe tu paitṛkam | maṅgalācāra-sampannaḥ kṛtaśaucaḥ prayatnavān ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «មហារាជ! គួរធ្វើកិច្ចបូជានិងទានសម្រាប់ទេវតា នៅពេលព្រឹក; ហើយកិច្ចសម្រាប់បុព្វបុរស នៅពេលរសៀល។ បន្ទាប់ពីបានសម្អាតខ្លួនឲ្យបរិសុទ្ធ (ដូចជាងូតទឹក) និងបានបំពេញកិច្ចមង្គល គួរធ្វើដោយឧស្សាហ៍ព្យាយាម។ ទានដែលធ្វើខុសពេល ត្រូវបានចាត់ទុកថាជាភាគរបស់រាក្សស»។
