ततश्च तं बली भीष्म: प्रगृह्म विपुलं भुजम् उद्यन्मेघस्वरो वाग्मी काले वचनमत्रवीत्,फिर प्रवचनकुशल बलवान भीष्मने युधिष्ठिरकी विशाल भुजा हाथमें लेकर मेघके समान गम्भीर वाणीमें यह समयोचित वचन कहा--
tataś ca taṃ balī bhīṣmaḥ pragṛhya vipulaṃ bhujam udyanmeghasvaro vāgmī kāle vacanam abravīt |
បន្ទាប់មក ព្រះបុរសខ្លាំង ភីស្មៈ បានចាប់កាន់ដៃធំទូលាយរបស់គាត់ ហើយនៅពេលសមគួរ បានពោលពាក្យ។ ជាវាគ្មី មានសំឡេងជ្រៅដូចពពកផ្គរលាន់កំពុងលេចឡើង គាត់បានអំពាវនាវទៅកាន់គាត់ដោយពាក្យសមកាល—ដាក់ស៊ុមសីលធម៌សម្រាប់អ្វីដែលគួរធ្វើតាមធម៌។
