वृद्धानां भारतप्तानां स्त्रीणां चक्रधरस्य च । ब्राह्मणानां गवां राज्ञां पन्थानं ददते च ये
vṛddhānāṃ bhārataptānāṃ strīṇāṃ cakradharasya ca | brāhmaṇānāṃ gavāṃ rājñāṃ panthānaṃ dadate ca ye ||
ភីស្មៈ «អ្នកណាដែលដោយការគោរព ឲ្យផ្លូវដល់មនុស្សចាស់ ដល់អ្នកដែលកំពុងទ្រាំទម្ងន់ធ្ងន់ ដល់ស្ត្រី ដល់អ្នកកាន់កង់ ឬអ្នកបើករទេះ/រទេះសង្គ្រាម ហើយដូចគ្នានេះដែរ ដល់ព្រះព្រាហ្មណ៍ ដល់គោ និងដល់ព្រះមហាក្សត្រ—អ្នកទាំងនោះគួរត្រូវបានចាត់ទុកថាជាមនុស្សមានគុណធម៌ និងមានមារយាទល្អ។ ព្រះធម៌ត្រូវបានបង្ហាញជាការគួរសមសាធារណៈ៖ ការគោរពអ្នកងាយរងគ្រោះ អ្នកគួរគោរពតាមសង្គម និងអ្នកដែលកំពុងបំពេញភារកិច្ចចាំបាច់»។
